That was when i was in my 2nd Class ....and the two words i cant spell were School and Scale ...i spelt them as hool and helu (i think i was proficient in kannada ) but unfortunately my teachers were unaware that i was speaking in kannada and kept on pressurising me to spell it correctly ...i still remember my teacher used to make me kneel down and used to hit me with duster on my knees,i took revenge though .i complained to my dad (my Dad was the Counsel member of my school and they suspended the teacher for ever :) ).....
That was when i learnt politics can be used anywhere to get rid of People....From there till 5th class lot of people tried to make me spell school (now no punishments of course they do know about my dad now )...then in my 6th class i became blind :) i mean my dad bought be a binoculars...i used to call them but my relatives used to call me blind ...then with the binoculars on i was kho-kho champion of my school and fell on one occasions and lost my tooth(milk ..its not the age of drinking milk but i dont know why they call them milk teeth :) ) ...then slowly i started spell school and scale in my 7th ...
The sad thing of the story is thats when i learnt that the am not wearing binoculars and the things that i were wearing were called spectacles :( .......

Trying to imagine a very small Subbu saying 'hool' and 'helu' :D The teacher was pretty brutal to hit you tho... You were only 10 yrs old. :(
